§ 21-130. Use of old building sewers.

  • Old building sewers or drains may be used in connection with new buildings only when they are found, on examination and test by the director, to meet all requirements of the ordinances of the city. The director may require the owner, developer, contractor, subcontractor, lessee or other person responsible for using an old building sewer or drain in connection with a new building to provide a statement certified by a professional engineer registered by the state and qualified to determine that the old building sewer or drain meets the requirements of the ordinances of the city, stating that the ordinances are complied with by the old building sewer or drain, if a person of similar qualifications is not employed by the city.
