§ 2-153. Duties.

The department of community development shall be responsible for:

(1)

Advising the city council, planning commission and city manager regarding all matters relating to, and administering, planning and zoning and such other land use codes or ordinances as may be enacted from time to time, housing, and economic development, under the Charter, ordinances of the city, and applicable state statutes.

(2)

Providing staff assistance to the planning commission and to such other boards and authorities as may be directed by the city manager to accomplish the respective responsibilities and duties of the planning commission and such other boards and authorities.

(3)

Coordinating the submission and administration of federal and state grants.
