§ 9-223. Prohibited acts.

  • It shall be unlawful for a licensee under this article to:

    (1)

    Arrest any person, except when that person commits a criminal offense in the presence of the licensee and such arrest conforms to a citizen's arrest in accordance with the laws of the state.

    (2)

    Fail to turn over any such person arrested immediately to the police department of the city.

    (3)

    Fire or draw firearms in the performance of his duties, except when necessary to protect himself from great bodily harm or to prevent the commission of a felony.

    (4)

    Enter or interfere with any investigation under the jurisdiction of the police department of the city.

    (5)

    Fail to report immediately to the police department of the city all violations of city ordinances and state or federal laws coming to his attention.

    (6)

    Wear a uniform, badge or insignia, or officially operate any vehicle, other than that authorized by the chief of police.

    (7)

    Represent himself to be an officer of the police department of the city or any other law enforcement agency.

    (8)

    Fail to conduct himself in a lawful and orderly manner at all times.
