§ 8-6. Eminent domain.

The city in carrying out the powers and duties imposed upon it by this Charter, or the general statutes shall have power to acquire within or without the city, lands, buildings and other structures, any interest in land and air rights over land and may take the same upon paying just compensation to the owner thereof, as provided by the general statutes.
