§ 8-8. Special or local improvement bonds—Issuance.

The City of Sterling shall have power to construct or install special or local improvements of every character within designated districts in said city, which improvements shall confer special benefits on the real property within said districts. The city council shall by ordinance prescribe the method and manner of making such improvements, of letting contracts therefor, assessing the cost thereof, and issuing and paying bonds for costs and expenses of constructing or installing said improvements, provided that nothing herein shall be construed to limit the power of the city council to act in accordance with the constitution and statutes of Colorado in carrying out such purposes.
